Harry C. Stacey, in Toronto Ontario,
established Stacey Electric in 1907.
It was H. C. Stacey’s belief that by
providing customers the best value for their dollar was the only
way to do business.
In the beginning Stacey Electric’s clientele
included residential commercial & industrial customers. Stacey
also sold and installed new electrical lighting fixtures and
appliances.
In the early 1950’s, under the leadership of
our second president, Jack Stacey, Stacey Electric began
installing and servicing Traffic Control signals. At that time
we were under contract for the traffic signal maintenance in the
Townships of East York, North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough,
Forrest Hill, Leaside, Swansea, Brantford and York Region.
In the 1960’s, our continued efforts with
traffic control signals naturally progressed into installing
roadway and parking lot lighting. During these years of further
growth we expanded as the traffic signal installation and
maintenance contractor for The City of Brampton, The City of
Mississauga and the Region of Peel.
In addition we were the only maintenance
contractor in Region of York from when the first traffic signal
was installed and for a period that spanned over five decades.

focus our expertise on the traffic signal installations &
maintenance sector. With our dedicated staff, we have earned a
solid reputation as a leader in the industry.
Beginning in January 1997, Stacey Electric
became the service contractor to provide 24-hour maintenance to
Toronto Transportation’s traffic signals, maintaining over 1900
signalized intersections.
